Man....sometimes you need to just take a walk! Acknowledge and commend God for the awesomeness of His creation. He will reveal things to us about the PROCESS!
Even the trees go through changes. Yet they still praise Him. They have no one to vocalize their pain to, or with, but yet they endure every year knowing that a new season is scheduled to come!
Even when their sister/brother (tree next to it) gets cut down they feel that...because they are connected from the root! Maybe their sister wasn't aesthetically pleasing to the eye anymore. Or didn't bloom as quickly as they did...so someone thought it best to cut it down, tear it down, uproot that tree. Know that they felt that. A part of them that they grew with, that they shared nutrients with and nourishment with is no longer. That tree had to feel that!! But you don't see that because the pain is not surfaced the pain is in the root!
Don’t neglect the process and don’t neglect or ignore the pain of your sister because she didn’t grow the way you did!
What I want to share with you though is what I discovered from talking to my sister (in Christ). She went through a process this past weekend. She wanted to know why her plant wasn’t growing and what she discovered was there were some dead leaves still attached to it. She said she didn’t just cut the leaves though...she cut the stem too and she told the plant “This is going to hurt but trust me after you get rid of this dead thing you are going to be better than you were!” Then she said she went to replace the three leaves and in addition she was given two more! Before she planted them however she realized something. The dirt in the pot didn’t look right. So she said she had to change the soil. Understand in the process she had to urgently uproot the leaves that were still in the pot that seemed healthy without having a conversation about what was about to happen. She did not prep or apologize she just pulled them out. Because she had to get to the source that was killing them with urgency! She started to remove the dirt and saw bugs at the bottom that was causing the decay. So she removed all of it...but before she replaced the plants with new soil she had to clean the pot just in case the residue and film of what was left might try to cause infection from the bacteria of what was in there before!
Then she placed the new soil in the clean pot and then buried the roots of the plants in the soil along with the new leaves. She said from Sunday til today the plants leaves have lifted higher than where it was.
So it is with us! You have to be willing to go through the process of being uprooted so that the planter can clean you out and get rid of the old dirt! Don’t be fooled you will always grow with dirt! But not the same dirt! You can’t grow if you refuse to be uprooted so that God clean you and process you. Some of us are not growing because we refuse to let go of the old dirt that is on and in us. IT’s time to change your soil! It’s time to change your dirt! You can't go through life with the same dirt you have to grow from that!
Every year we get 4 seasons we should expect it! But know that it’s not the same season!
Wait what do you mean it is the same season. Spring, Summer Fall, Winter. You are right the name doesn’t change but the level does! It’s not Summer 2017 it’s Summer 2018! See your growth! You are not where you were you have elevated because as the sun evolves so does your life! Yes it’s summer but it’s a new summer! Yes the fall is coming but it will be a new fall you haven’t experienced this fall yet! You haven’t experienced this winter yet! And although it may look like what you came out of it’s a different level!
In every season of our lives change is expected! The trees in the summer don’t look like the trees in the fall and the trees in the fall don’t look like the winter. Why? Because in the winter the trees leaves usually wither and die. However, the tree still stands but then something happens...spring comes and what looked dead shows signs of life again. But what if the tree decided to abort its process!?
Food for thought:
God allows Spring because it represents new beginnings, that you have been preparing for in the winter months. That you have meditated on. The newness of thought, mind, opportunity begins to show and bloom. There is an awakening and dead things began to show life again!
God allows Summer to give you Vitamin D. Vitamin D builds your foundation with calcium by strengthening your bones, nails, hair, and teeth. It is intended to make you joyous and happy. To make you smile. To build your heart and increase your endurance through outdoor activities. Because the Fall is coming!
God allows Fall because it represents the need for change. We want to hold on but God designed it so that change must happen! You cannot grow in the same season! (That’s why He equips you with endurance so that you can withstand the Fall.) Leaves start to fall off, but new leaves start to grow and they are colorful. They are purposed to give you hope because it knows that the winter can depress you...but remain hopeful because before you know it, if you look ahead you can see that Spring is coming!!
God allows Winter for quiet downtime, personal reflection, rest, family time, reading time. It is designed for you to be inside and hibernate a little so that you can get the physical rest you need. The introspection that needs to take place to prepare you for the assignment that awaits you after you REST for awhile!
